This is great advice! I've been thinking of the words of a writing mentor these days, Thomas Lux, who said, "The world needs good poems. The world needs *your poems.*" It really stuck with me. I know I get stuck in wondering "how I'm doing" with my writing. But when I focus on what readers have told me they've gotten, or I think about what I could offer in the future, it keeps me going. If you like to read, you know how important it is to always come upon new, good writing!
